Lynn University Events
I was lucky enough to work for the university for three years, during this time I created some of the most influential events on campus. I learned the hard way, starting from scratch how to get funding, retain membership and cultivate a group that shows up and works together. These events had a wide range of themes, I planned pie eating contests, sushi making nights, spa parties, trivia in the elevator, kickball, and many more..
These featured events are some of my favorites from running The Animal Welfare Organization, I can remember the learning process and growing from planning each event. Over the three years events became more popular, grew in size and intention leading us to donate hundreds to shelters across Southern Florida. Connecting students with animals that before missing their pets led to a deeper level of homesickness hurting their potential success while in university, The university was also very excited to be chosen as a host for The Presidential Debate in 2012, as a sophomore majoring in Multimedia Journalism it was a very exciting opportunity to pursue.
Pet CPR Certification
Members voted on exclusive event available for them, based off of personal goals and interests. I worked with the university for funding.

Tomorrow’s Rainbow
Volunteered with Tomorrow’s Rainbow, cleaning stalls and digging a new trench on the farm. Tomorrow’s Rainbow focuses on educating and supporting children, young adults and families through the grief process.

Big Dog Ranch Rescue
Monthly events with one of the largest animal rescues in the country, this event I worked with a local skate shop to donate a few boards for a raffle held on campus. We also hosted a food and supply drive. With this visit we raised over $300 directly donated to BDDR.

Boca Raton Fellowship, Blessing of the Animals Raffle
Our staff liaison Dean of Students, Gary Martin was a former Homicide Detective in Southern Florida. He and his wife also raise therapy dogs. Connecting with a local church we gathered raffle prizes and hosted a blessing of the animals for St. Francis Day. This was held in the church for members of the community and on campus for fellow staff, professors and students.

University.

Student Engagement and Awards
Lucky enough to work and engage with students on campus to host some of the most successful events, be recognized for my leadership, learn a lot about funding all while creating memories. As the Dean of Students said to me “It takes a lot of leadership to get a bunch of kids up on a Saturday morning to shovel Sh*t” Referencing our adventure out to Tomorrow’s Rainbow with horses.

CBS News Presidential Debate Internship
Lynn University hosted the 2012 Presidential Debate, I applied to and earned an Internship with CBS Network News. I responsibly drove Staff of former Governor Mitt Romney around, shadowed his staff and participated in set up and breakdown of equipment. As well as shadowed interviews with Senator John McCain and Secretary of State John Kerry.
